Remember yesterday I was talking about telling stories with pictures<\/a>? Funny thing, I received an email from Popular Photography about a huge photography contest happening now.\u00a0The topic? Your life… basically.<\/p>\n

The Contest site is called “One Life<\/a>” and the over theme, from what I gather is that “great photography tells stories<\/strong>” So they are looking for powerful images of any sort that portray life around the world. \u00a0The explain it further as:<\/p>\n

what you love, your travels, or anything that reflects your world and experience.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The beauty of this contest is that not only are the prizes huge but the rewards for the contestents as well. Awhile ago I wrote about the National Geographic Traveller contest<\/a>. I just recently entered and paid the fee, I really have got nothing in return. Not that I was looking for much…. but a little exposure would have been nice.
\nWith this contest, every entrant will receive a “thank you<\/strong>” package valued at around $95 (or $90 as it says at the top of the page). There is a free trial see.me website<\/a> and a copy of FX Photo Studio Pro<\/a> software included. So for the fee of $10 per photo, it is not that bad of a deal.<\/p>\n

You can enter up to 9 photos for the $10 price and then upload another 10 photos for the flat rate of $95. Max uploading of 20 photos at that rate. The key here is to upload your best and only your best. Think about the theme of “life” or whatever it entails and go from there.<\/p>\n

The Category Awards<\/strong>
\nOur jury panel will choose four\u00a0Category Award<\/strong> winners in these People, Places, Things, Ideas.<\/p>\n
